"Swarm" — Geometric Cube Wall Relief

Swarm is a handmade wall relief in the form of a round white disc densely set with hundreds of small cubes. Every module is fixed at a different angle — rotated, tilted, set to a different depth — so what looks like a regular grid takes on an undulating, almost organic rhythm, like the surface of water or a swarm hovering above the ground. In the gaps between the blocks, narrow sharp wedges of red flash out: the only colour in the entire composition, scattered as if at random yet precisely planned. Every module is cut, painted and mounted by hand, one at a time.

The true material of this work is light. Depending on its direction the cubes cast their own shadows across the disc, and those shadows travel throughout the day, reassembling the relief each time — crisp and graphic in the morning, soft and deep by evening. It is a striking piece that remains almost entirely neutral in colour, ideal for minimalist interiors: a living room, hallway, study, hotel reception, office or gallery space. Entirely hand-crafted — slight differences in the angle and finish of each module are a natural feature of handmade work and make every piece unrepeatable.
