"Rosette" — Organic Patinated Bronze Sculpture

Rosette is a handmade sculpture with a compact, dome-like form built from spiralling, overlapping petals. The composition unfolds from the centre outwards like an opening flower, a shell or a swirl of water — there is no single dominant viewpoint, only a rhythm that shifts continuously as the object is turned. The surface is worked entirely by hand: a deep dark patina with warm brown-gold highlights drawn out along the petal edges, where the metal has been gently rubbed back and polished. The hollows stay matte and soft, so the form looks modelled by fingers rather than simply cast.

This is a sculpture made for close contact — you want to touch it, turn it in your hands, place it somewhere you pass every day. It sits beautifully on dark wood, a stone countertop or a pale shelf, where raking light brings out the play of shadow between the petals. It works equally well in a living room, a study, a hotel lobby or as a striking gift. Hand-crafted throughout, with each piece finished and patinated individually by the sculptor — the pattern of highlights and the tone of the patina never repeat exactly, making every example one of a kind.
